Lori S. Weisenfeld, DPM
Dr. Lori S. Weisenfeld, a renowned New York City sports podiatrist, has been treating athletes, dancers, and performers from around the world for over 25 years. She began her practice by joining her father, Dr. Murray F. Weisenfeld, author of The Runner’s Repair Manual, who was an icon amongst injured runners in NYC. With Dr. Murray as her mentor, she developed her own practice style while incorporating his insights, kindness and good humor into her care for each patient. She treats each patient with an understanding of their long term goals and with an eye on their immediate needs.
You may also know Dr. Weisenfeld from her appearances on numerous network news shows including WABC, the WB network and on VH1’s Can’t Get A Date. She has also been quoted in The New York Times and The New York Daily News and has been featured in national publications including Woman’s Day, Runner’s World, Self, Jane, Pointe Magazine, Quick & Simple, Dance, Women’s Health, Shape and OK!.
Dr. Weisenfeld is a Clinical Advisor to the American Running Association. She has the distinction of being double board certified by both the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She is on staff at Mount Sinai Medical Center and the Gramercy Surgery Center in NYC where she is Vice Chair of the Medical Advisory Board.
